Located in the Brussels region, ABAKA is a listening and support service for adolescents. The ABAKA team offers a 24/7 reception and listening service for young people aged 12 to 18 in family and institutional crises. In parallel, the absl also offers socio-educational support for adolescents and their families. The specificity of the association is to work only at the request of the young person with the collaboration of his or her family, without a judicial or administrative mandate.
Active since 2004, the service is approved by the Youth Aid of the Wallonia Brussels Federation as a Particular Educational Project, in the framework of specialised assistance as defined in the Youth Aid Decree of 18 January 2018 and applies the Code of ethics of Youth Aid.
