WOLUWE-SAINT-LAMBERT, THE RESIDENTIAL AREA

Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is a commune where the residential aspect is predominant. The population of the municipality is varied and rather prosperous: well-to-do neighbourhoods (Saint-Henri, de Linthout, Square Vergote, Avenue de Broqueville, etc.) and more popular neighbourhoods (Constellations). The municipality is home to the university hospital St Luc, Louvain-en-Woluwe (UCL).

Six metro stations and several bus lines make this municipality a major axis. Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is one of the most pleasant residential districts in the capital. The Louvain-Liège ring road gives it quick access to the ring road and to the outside of the city. Wolubilis is the cultural village of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Inaugurated in 2006, it has the particularity of gathering around a square, an auditorium, buildings hosting various cultural associations as well as shops (cafés, restaurants, bookstores...). Nearby, there is a covered shopping centre with the most famous brands: the W shopping centre. Avenue Georges Henri offers a variety of shops. A walk along the green promenade allows you to escape from the city by following the former route of the Brussels-Tervuren railway line, crossing the Parc Malou (avenue du Stade) and following the Woluwe (discovery of the Lindekemaele, meal in the restaurant Le Slot, remains of a 16th century castle...).

House prices are among the highest in the Brussels region. Buying a flat is proportionally more affordable. On the other hand, rents are on average among the most expensive.
