Rolling Shower

With its motorhome, Rolling Douche goes out to meet the homeless and offers them a mobile hygiene service, meeting the basic needs that every person should have the right to satisfy. Offering a shower is also a way of making people aware of their own hygiene and body, of boosting their self-esteem, and of rediscovering certain gestures that are sometimes forgotten in everyday life.

This project was born out of the observation that there is a glaring lack of hygiene access facilities for this target group: in the Brussels-Capital Region, there are only about thirty showers for more than 3,000 homeless and poorly housed people (cf. data from La Strada of 07 November 2016).
