Founded in 1954, CIRÉ (Coordination and Initiatives for Refugees and Foreigners) is a non-profit organisation that defends the rights of rights of exiled personswith or without a residence permit for more than 65 years.
Through its action, CIRÉ keeps watch:
- to ensure that policies are in line with the principles of the human rights and to affirm the need to strengthen the rights of foreigners, including the right to asylum
- to consider migrants as active citizens, who enrich our multicultural societies
In order to carry out its tasks, it receives subsidies from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and the COCOF.
