Helping homeless people to find their way easily to a free public toilet or a drinking fountain in Brussels is the aim of the "Free drinking fountains and toilets" plan.
The plan was revised and updated in 2021, thanks to the efforts of the Street Nurses volunteers who inspected and photographed all the fountains and toilets, but also thanks to the collaboration of the creators of the free applicationPeesy.be, and the ULB research group on water scarcity-HyPer.
The plan covers the whole of the Brussels-Capital Region, with facilities both inside and outside the Pentagon. There are quite a few changes, additions and deletions since the previous edition (2019). For example, the Pentagon now has only one free closed toilet, as opposed to 6 in 2019. On the other hand, the area outside the Pentagon has 9 new ones.
