It has to be decided by a court (the Family Court) and it is therefore advisable to consult a lawyer to check all the issues involved in a divorce before embarking on this procedure.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Foreigners may file for divorce in Belgium, regardless of the nationality of their spouse, under certain fairly broad conditions that must be examined before filing.
