bruxelloise apr\u00e8s Bruxelles-Ville et Uccle.\u00a0 Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 ouest, elle est travers\u00e9e du nord au sud par le p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique (ring) autoroutier, isolant ainsi deux quartiers semi-ruraux\u00a0: Neerpede (o\u00f9 se situent le complexe d\u2019entra\u00eenement d\u2019une des grandes \u00e9quipes de football belge, et le domaine du Royale amicale Anderlecht golf Club, seul golf de la r\u00e9gion) \u00a0et Vogelzang.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Au XI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, Anderlecht se d\u00e9veloppe autour de la place de la Vaillance et de la Coll\u00e9giale Saints-Pierre-et-Guidon.\u00a0 Ce centre historique est entour\u00e9 de deux \u00e9difices incontournables\u00a0: la maison d\u2019Erasme (philosophe humaniste qui y habita en 1521) et le b\u00e9guinage. \u00a0L\u2019habitat mixte de la commune s\u2019explique par l\u2019histoire vari\u00e9e des anciens hameaux qui se sont joints au centre historique, de part et d\u2019autre de la chauss\u00e9e de Mons\u00a0: de Cureghem au pass\u00e9 industriel (cons\u00e9cutif au d\u00e9veloppement du canal Bruxelles-Charleroi \u00e0 partir de 1827) au Pajottenland et son caract\u00e8re
